Yesterday in San Francisco, Apple released further details about the new Apple watch. Apple CEO Tim Cook mainly gave the audience updates about the pricing and release date of the different models. The Apple Watch was first announced during the firm’s iPhone 6 launch event on 9 September, but yesterday, the Apple keynote was principally focuses on the new connected device and the presentation of some of the third-party apps that will be available on the wearable device at launch. All eyes were thus on what seems to be the most hotly-awaited smartwatch. Just one day after the keynote, the famous European CFD and binary options broker IG announced the release of the first Apple Watch trading app.
Details on the new IG Apple Watch application
The IG trading application will be available in April and the broker wants it to be one of the first apps ready for Apple Watch when it becomes available. IG believes that this new wearable is gonna be the next big deal for traders. The IG trading application will offer almost all the functionalities of the already successful iOS application on iPhone. Traders will be able to open and close positions in an instant, using natively designed Apple Watch functionality. Nevertheless, the application will not operate independently. The Apple Watch app will only work in conjunction with your IG iPhone trading app via Bluetooth connection.
Positive news for binary options trading
Only few details are available on the app but, from what we understand, binary options trading will not be available. Indeed, IG is a new player on the binary options business and the segment only represents a small portion of IG’s client base. We believe it is good news for the sector that will probably encourage binary option brokers to develop their own Apple Watch trading app. Although we believe IG binary is a recognized online broker, we prefer to use pure players for binary options trading. The recommended pure binary option players on the website all offer better trading conditions, option types and dedicated iOS application.
